FAQs

At FieldLevel you were both a Senior Product Designer & Product Manager. Do you mind elaborating on that?

I started at FieldLevel as a Product Designer working on a product team alongside a Product Manager. Eventually, I was promoted to Senior Product Designer. At the height of our company’s team growth, we were looking to increase the number of product teams. I have always had aspirations of leading a product team but there is a special place in my heart for design. I proposed to the company that I can play a dual role and be used as a movable piece between product teams as we expand and transition product teams. I defined myself as a Product Designer with Product Manager and Graphic Design experience. Ultimately, I wanted my role to empower the company to utilize my skills in whatever capacity it needed.

What are your work location preferences? (Onsite, Hybrid, Remote)

On-site 5 days a week sure… I love and value office time. Remote or hybrid… that’s fine with me too.

Are you open to contract work?

I’m open to full-time, contract, contract-perm!

Why did you leave your last job?

I was part of a round of layoffs.

What are you looking for in your next company?

I’m looking for a company with great people and purpose that I can invest myself fully into. People and purpose are all I need.

What is your definition of Product Design?

To me, product design is problem-solving. The act of setting the right goal, defining the right problem, and finding the right method to get to the desired solution. Execution of all 3 phases is needed to design the best possible product. You can view my product design process here .

Do pineapples belong on pizza?

Absolutely it does. Ham and pineapple pizza is my favorite type of pizza. And I will die on this hill (of pineapples)… even if it cost me an employment opportunity!

Matt Plotner - Senior Product Manager at FieldLevel

“Kevin is also a natural leader as he proved when he led his own product team as he shifted into the product manager role during his later time at FieldLevel. I saw him and his team successfully deliver many new features and additions to the app.

Kevin also has great public speaking skills. He delivered many helpful presentations to the company outlining discovery and research that he was working through at the time.”
